Defending You, I am.


Loving the one I choose to love,
I accept his mistakes and excuses
Blaming no one for what happened
Only to believe in this power of forgiveness

Because it was my choice
Because I gave up on warnings and advices
I remain alone in my decision
I became responsible for the situation

I can’t pretend to not see what others told me
After all, I still don’t give them right
Offering you the chance to have reason
Then you can prove my wise selection

No, it’s not about them, not about you
But simply about respect and value
I don’t deserve your best but not less
At least, show me what you do possess
