Patrick
Name given was Patrick
-that is whom went to see.
Knocked the door to face a
-surprising lady.
She wanted door closed and me gone
-as always, everywhere, I smiled.
A smile and softness
-can bring the changes.
Her name was Mary and
-missed many teeth, bad gum.
"He is my brother! "
"Not at home; you can wait! "
Soon I was aware of
-what went on in that house.
Another family rich of pains
- (with today's way of life.)
Children, till late age, are guests to
-elderly, retired, unable
-kind parents.
I asked her to call him
- "Is it worth for waiting? "
-so, she did; and reply:
- "I am at the red light…"
Mother came in a robe:
- "Give this man what he wants."
Threatened to handle the bad son…
Still there, saw him come
-bearded with head down
-like the dogs when at fault.
A book was my head and
-stories on pages
-I turned them one by one.
Many of the parents
-like Hussein's
- (whom I met in Iran,
-and always think about…)
-have called the governments
-police or hospitals:
- "Our child is cause of harm…"
And many keep silent
-live with pain and observe
-the hellish life around…
"It was so different! "
-Parents say of their times.
I think of the Mammoths
-once the kings of the world
-as well as dinosaurs,
- (now, only in toy form)
-all are gone, and vanished.
I pray and cross all fingers
- "Can we too…? "
Look at the fires and
-all other disasters
-and abuse of power
-and bullies that bother,
-and bullets, gun-makers
-to kill and destroy…
See walls rise
-hear it advertised…
Hope the time has arrived
-for an end to mankind.
-Hope we will be the distinct,
-long before the nature!
