Paying The Price Poem by H E Alexander

Paying The Price

Rating: 5.0

My heart is so free, my head is so light,
Everything I see is bathed in pure white.
I'll dance you my dance, I'll sing you my song,
My mind's in a trance where my dreams belong.
I'll keep my mood for the present time;
Happiness is good and laughter divine.
Bring me your joy, bring me your smile,
My sadness destroy, my depression defile.

It matters not what drives me on this road,
I will use any prop that helps carry my load.
This feeling so sweet, my thoughts so alive,
My reason to keep, my will to survive.
But buried inside the depths of my mind
A fear that I hide, though not my design:
Happiness is false, laughter is lies,
When darkness falls I will pay the price.

I will use any prop that helps carry my load. Yes indeed, pure wisdom
