Paying The Price Poem by D.A. Woods

Paying The Price

Rating: 4.5

why do you always stand in line to face your fears,
is it because you've came undone and traced your tears,
people always said that no chains could ever tie you down,
always the last to know whenever you are around.
I know it,
you've shown it,
we know it,
youve blown it.
never give up on yourself,
keep the dreams youve always had,
side stepped into blinding lights is all youve ever know,
and all you show,
is that you live for more.

'Burning bridges you feel ran over, now lifes unkind,
mending ways and going back for a piece of mind'.
