Peace Poem by Jan E Smith

Peace

Peace, tranquillity, calmness of day,
the laughter of children busy at play.

People together, gathered for good,
a crackling fire loaded with wood.

These are the things which life is about,
not fighting, killing, hatred or doubt.

Don't focus on sorrow, hatred and gloom.
They will engulf you, your soul to consume.

Life's but a gift, sent from above.
One to be shared and filled with love.

So if you are weary, troubled and blue,
look now to God, take the focus off you.
