Peace Came But Men Refused Him Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Peace Came But Men Refused Him

When men like wandering sheep have lost
Their sense of hope, God paid the cost.
He sent His Son, the King of kings
To give them the Peace that He brings.

Born in a manger that Christmas day,
The Lamb of God would show the Way.
All men who come to Him and bow,
Will reach the God Whom they will know.

And in their hearts, there will be born
The Joy and Peace of that Christmas morn.
To give them Life and be their Reason,
To shed off hate and to forgive everyone.

He showed us all through Him there's Peace
He has the power to make all wars cease.
For the angels announced 'Peace on Earth"
"Good will to men" with the Savior's birth!

But men in their hardness of hearts refuse
To let Him in, and believe the Good News,
So they wallow in fights, in anger and discord,
In their hearts there's no room, for Christ the LORD!
