It is the calm of the dark, forever
In the peace of the night
For, whatever light may shine in heaven
Me thinks it shines too bright
Why rise above for Heaven's glory
When you can lay, inside the grave
Then return to love another
When the darkness rules the day
The reaper walks among us
I have shunned the gathering call
For myself there shall be no judgement
No god shall make me, fall
Sweet, dark, let be within me
For now I exist beyond the grave
Therein never to fear the daylight
From here, beneath the ground I lay
Our own selves revel in the silence
In view of souls, when pass this way
For we have found our peace within darkness
Here in 'darkness, ' we shall stay
