Peace & War Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Peace & War

A confusion of sound and meaning
that agitates and irritates

A piece of cake he says

Tell him to drink the sake
and leave the hard stuff
for those who can handle it

Blow out the candles
and beat a retreat
I say before you lose it

My love and compassion
is almost human
don't you see?
