Pearl Poem by Mark Trajano

Pearl

Rating: 5.0

I never expected anything,
But it struck fast, on point, like lightning.
Finding myself among young ones
I slowly made my way, like a dance,
Towards where I found tranquility.
It's then, fate was brewing silently,
And I just walked myself into it.
Leaning on the pillar, I submit.

Flowing like silk dancing in the air,
Ever pleasing and without compare -
Your hello and taps on my shoulder.
They made their mark distinctlike thunder
Removing all doubts, that was no chance.
Nervous but happy; maintained my stance.
Your smile, the way you talk, calmed me down,
I was swayed and drawn, who would have known?
Just like magic, what you did that night,
Erased all noise, lewving us in light.

But like all stories, end will be reached.
I hoped for the moment to last... Wished.
Like sunrays through the clouds, came a promise,
A promise 'f another encounter,
Continuation of this chapter.
Like clockwork, everything fell 'nto place,
Brought color to my ever dull days,
Emphasizing pearl's brilliance and charm.
Next time we meet again 's in God's palm.
