Pearl Of The Moutain Way Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Pearl Of The Moutain Way

He played a game of 'kiss and tell'
Fell in love with a girl named Belle
Lost in the arms of this radiant child
Free as a bird soaring over the wild.

Hey, he's met the prettiest girl
He calls her his 'mountain way pearl'.
So in love and thrilled by her charm
A secret motto is 'always keep calm'.

See how they walk on golden sands
Sir Cupid now is joining their hands...
Passers-by smile graciously at his
Beautiful 'Pearl of The Diamond Sea'.

Beguiled by fate one star-studded night
When the moon was clear and bright
He wore a red tie, attracting her eye
Passion went wild. O me, O my...

Sweet babe is she, a sought-after girl
Sending his heart and soul in a whirl
Each night they sing 'Begin the Beguine'
and together they swoon to the magic within.
