Pen Of A Slave Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Pen Of A Slave

Pen of a slave! !
Living in the den of life;
A free hen walks around!
But, when will the slave be free? !

Ink from a slave! ! !
Writing out his or her mind;
Muse of his or her poetry,
Words to the world so sweet with tears!

Pen to write with,
Hidden in the den of life;
Pen of a slave!
Able to reach out to the world with his or her words.

Poetry! !
Able to write!
Going through the hardships of life;
With the Slave-Master in control! ! ! !

The world,
This world of hatred and war! !
Slaves everywhere on earth;
Eyes everywhere watching!

For love,
Hardly to get!
Being a slave;
Only to follow orders! ! !

For life,
Only with hope!
Easily to die along the line,
Being a slave in the hands of wicked people! !

From him or her,
A lovely poem to the world so sweet! !
But, full of hatred!
Pen of a slave;

Writing,
Sweating from the heat!
Following Orders;
Able to survive.
