Pending Storm Poem by soren Barrett

Pending Storm

Even before the horizon darkens there is an electric static in the air
A screaming silence that deafens the listening ear
A cold front moves in as wind loosens its tongue
Dark clouded brows flash lightning's swords sending prickles up the spine
A hurricane
The wife has arrived
