People... - Poem by Samuel Kapstad

My life is measured in misery
disgusted by human nature
i witness the worlds decay
the end is so easy to see
the world will not end in tears
it will end with the folly of men
useless masses triumphing their own doom
no one will ever enter heaven
all shall walk as lost lambs
devoured by the fear they thought would save them
lesser men we are all
but some triumphant shall fall
the ones that accept their sins and sorrows
but even they will fall as deep as all
the truth is nothing
nothing is right or wrong
we are all weak and strong
our madness are measured by our sanity
happines feeds our greed
no one will help in times of need
and i saddend by these truths
and ordinary peoples are the ones turning the wheels
disgusted i feel
knowing that among these masses, one is me
