* People Cast Shifting Shadows Poem by Terence George Craddock

* People Cast Shifting Shadows

Shallow people cast shadows
as short as their character
under hot noon-day sun.
Baked brains can over boil spoil
when heart and mind aren't won.

Complex competent people
cast shadows as long as strides
they've over quicksand run.
Like shadows cast before dawn
or in long growing setting sun.

True giants of humanity
cast giant shadows of greatness
shading the weak and innocent.
Enduring long after final rays
sealing fate of setting sun.
