People Don'T Have The Policy Of Honesty........... Poem by Mahfooz Ali

People are such cowards,
Can't seem to say anything to your face,
They leave you hanging for hours,
And think they are saving grace.
It hurts me more to be left in the dark,
Never knowing what's going on,
Than to hear the cruel words from the heart.
Don't they know that is wrong?
Honesty is supposed to be the best policy,
So how come no one can be honest?
You don't even know how that confuses me,
May be if I knew, I wouldn't give.
But seeing as I never seem to know,
And it's all thanks to all.
I will never know just what I should know?
Or even what to think.
People are always talking behind your back.
Doesn't anyone think or feel?
What the hell is up with that?
At least say what is real.
