People Look At Me Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

People Look At Me

People look at

No I am not the one to be auctioned
Or paraded
Or shown as model
But all is well

I have been given beautiful face
Along with white and crimson appearance of rose
No one can hold temptation
But everybody is held by restriction

I can't see my own appearance
I am simple woman with no difference
I feel as same and move freely
People look at me as if wants to act dearly

God should not give everything in one woman
Then she becomes super woman
Everybody is after her as first choice
She thanks god with surprises

People may look at her with lust
But she needs trust
And held with confidence
Not a person who sits across fence

So beauty is no more an advantage
It can be painted on page
With flowers on her feet
And many others ready to greet
