I have heard people say
This statement day after day,
Live your life to be known and seen by all
Then truth they will know and recall.
Then if anyone ever speaks badly of you,
No one would believe it to be true.
I've seen those with the greatest reputations
Those with loving and caring relations,
Hiding great evils and sin
Which they try to tuck away deep within.
Unto others they are two known factors,
They are great liars, and actors.
I've seen people of upstanding character stunned
When they are slandered and also shunned,
When in rumors and gossip people believe
Instead of trusting instincts, which do not deceive.
This one great masterpiece I will paint,
I'll always take an honest misfit over a counterfeit saint.
