- Peppermint Pigs Poem by Georgios Venetopoulos

- Peppermint Pigs

They come and go uncalled and bold
beseech in souls folklore regards
narrate and jive in piggy-bars
conglomerate in fuzzy mold.

The flying pigs behind the clouds,
invite the souls, deceive and pose,
deceive, perplex as heavens close,
foreboding smiles, assessed in shrouds.

Abstemious our lives in caves,
we reached the stars, proffered pigs lifts,
peppermint's scent in festal drinks
and purgatory dancing raves.

The polished pig-os skate on ice,
in triple axles show their class,
perfumed fandango ladies pass
to deep inhale their minty spice.

In Pigoletto, dukes and blokes
galant, attend Pigilda's quests
saltating dance, expressing jests
and spryly bow to charm and coax.

Recurrent prosody we shared,
fresh chicken eggs and fashion trends,
our abstract heartbeat so, amends
the groovy pigs that were ensnared.
