Perception Poem by Linda Ori

Perception

Rating: 5.0

I have come to the conclusion
Through a process of perusion
That the source of our confusion
Lies in concepts we believe;
There's a purpose in revision
It facilitates decision
And deliniates our mission -
Understand what we believe;
When we fail to seek direction
And refuse to make correction
Then our truth is a reflection
Of the thoughts that we conceive;
Now's the time to make concession
We must join in the procession
If we hope to learn the lesson
That we struggle to achieve -
Put an end to pursecution
Let the soul seek evolution
Look inside for the solution -
We become what we believe.

This is brilliant Linda. The structure of the piece is impeccable of course - (who would expect anything else from your fair hand) and the subject matter is profound. I'm delighted I went poking about among your poems today. Wisdom artistically penned. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Innovative rhyming, reminded me of 'Thrasher' a song by Neil Young because of the choice of 'ion' words. He sang 'They were poisoned by selction/Became park bench mutations'. It rolls off the tongue very well.
