Perception Poem by Lara wolf

Perception

in art we learn black is not black
that it is in fact,
a mixture of blue
that just takes on the hue
of a shadow.
a shadow can not exsist without its object.
but an object can exsist without a shadow.
that is if there is no sun
but if there is no sun
there is no warmth
and there is no color
in science we learn colors dont really exsist-
though they seem so real
color is just light reflected in the human eye
maybe there's a person out there
who lives where the sun dont shine
and the trees are blue.
and the sky is green.
and the grass is purple.
and maybe that somebody will fall in love
with that someone who sees trees in red
so then thier children will think the trees are purple
but then will the grass look just like a sea of tiny trees?
like brocoli.
will lawns become a forest and the ant the king of the jungle?
but even if everything was upside down and even if black is a hue of blue
im sure it'd still be true that this world is black to me and you?
so what colors could we expect our children to dream in?
