Perfect Cadence Poem by D.S Jones

Perfect Cadence

With the excitement and fusion,
Is this the conclusion,
The step up,
To step down,
The perfect cadence.
In what can be seen,
As one to remember,
A test of all the patience.

Struggles began,
At Marathon,
Outnumbered not weak,
Nor accepting defeat.
Grabbing the belt,
Ripping it off,
With full pride,
Accepting nothing lost,
Just what’s gained,
Never restrained.

See it through,
Bite the bullet,
Take one step.
Or neither will do it.
