Tick Tock Poem by D.S Jones

Tick Tock

Stalling something, against desperation,
Maybe vows portray emendation?
Supporting and leaning plainly,
Telling time. Trachea Impediment.

Silence shouting, somewhere stampeding,
A chequer board’s infinite colours.
Mixing variations, daily abbreviations,
Standing? Falling? Potentially floating...

Holes punched, blocked and replaced,
Looking forward, back then forward.
Confused enough?
Stop.
Stray, state, change not replicate,
Upwards, downwards, misguided fate,
Factions of attraction provide liquefaction,
Subtract and undo,
North, West, East to South,
Consume.
