Perfect Sunset Poem by Marilyn Lott

Perfect Sunset

Rating: 3.5

It was the other night I was driving
As the sun began to set
And you should have seen what I saw
It was the prettiest sunset yet

The buildings stood incredibly tall
Above the dark horizon
Everything was transformed
The colors were so surprising

The sky was dark, you see
As the sun slipped to the ground
I stopped my car in amazement
There was not a single sound

The bridge and flour mill were black
As yellow and orange filtered through
I was startled at the beauty
And I’ll bet it would startle you

We never know at the end of the day
What kind of sky nature will design
For every time is so unique
The perfect sunset I always find!

The peace of this scene really comes through...but how does one decide which is the most 'perfect sunset' because each and every one is 'perfect.' Lovely setting, peaceful reading here!
