Pet Peeves Poem by Marilyn Lott

Pet Peeves

Rating: 4.5

Our lives can be very difficult
We struggle every day
Schedules that we must complete
On track we try to stay

Everywhere we go there is
Someone who makes us frown
But if you get out into the world
There are people all around

And they do irritating things
We cannot get around it
They are messy and so sloppy
They chew tobacco and they spit

Clutter is one I constantly notice
Absolutely everywhere I go
There are garbage cans, folks
That makes life cleanly flow

They talk too loud on cell phones
Oh, just shut up I want to shout
But of course I just walk by
Those bitter words I can’t let out

So we go about our daily lives
With our anguish and strong beliefs
Yes, we sure do have our own
Annoyances and pet peeves!

Great Write My friend! I was just reminded the other day by a VERY close friend that his pet peeve was not spelling his last name right! I always put a T in where a D should be! He finally had his fill of it and let me have it both barrels! Good for him his aim was off! LOL Linda

Hi Marilyn. I'm sure we all have our pet peeves. if we didnt I think there would be a shortage of subject matter for many of our poems. well done enjoyed this one a lot.10/10 Regards Dave T.
