Perfection, The Elusive Quest We All Pursue Poem by Mohammad Younus

Perfection, The Elusive Quest We All Pursue

Rating: 5.0

Perfection, the elusive quest we all pursue,
As if ordained on the dawn of creation's first day,
On the Day of Alast, we pledged to our lord,
To walk the path of righteousness, unwavering.

For how can we, in our flawed state, fathom
The essence of the divine, save in our sanctum
Of consciousness, where we commune with the sublime,
And glimpse the visage of the most perfect reality?

Once, in the cradle of existence, we lay,
Each soul pristine in its fitrah's sway,
But earthly sojourns tarnish that pure veneer,
And imperfections cloud our vision clear.

Yet amidst the tumult of this worldly strife,
I cherish the memory of my fitrah, rife
With truth and consciousness, flwless and free,
Before the weight of labels obscured me.

For what role could I assume in this grand play,
Without a name, without a script to portray?
Yet in the quest for perfection, I now see,
It's not in labels, but in authenticity we find the key.

Very beautiful piece of art! I love the most the end of this piece: Yet in the quest for perfection, I now see, It's not in labels, but in authenticity we find the key." You nailed the point in there! Amazing
