Perhaps: Louis Seize,

with fewer Madames de Maintenant
than any other,
was known to his court
as Sans;

a far cry
from his grandfather Quinze,
who, with more Maintenants
than any other,
was plumed Tambour
(he installed a revolving door) .

A subtle and challenging poem for the reader. I am trying to place Louis Seize in history-was he the last king before the 1789 revolution? Was the woman Madame de Maintenon?
