Period Of Marital Unrest Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Period Of Marital Unrest

the
sun…
where
it is just
warm, when
compared; to your
ire! That super heating
flame throwing voice and
the, absolutely incinerating
looks! In these moments you
are, the Queen of all Hells; in
my book! Livid, in vivid might
devouring every breath of air
every image, every care… yes
indeed, you take the whole of
the universe there! As far as
all of the light in every galaxy yet
exuberantly continues to constantly
awaken, you will be shaking my tree when
you erupt and spew your intentions out
upon me! These conflicts obliviously
creating personal shifts in our
togetherness; what a mess!
You, I; wafting in darkness
in silence through the darkest
thrashings throughout the longest
night.Yet, in the light within this rage
there, is that consciousness; drawing US
into the pain that you project disdainfully
and you continue to acknowledge me as the
source of all of your sorrows, lamenting on
further tomorrows, standing on your toes
and bellowing out your woes for all the
universe to hear and feel… and there
are hours of this disruptive soul
wrenching diatribe! Believe me
It ain't no treat for anyone near
to hear the hysterical thundering's
IAM mentioning… Still, hours pass and
our time is given, a final flight; each of US
in solitude move into silent and distant
solar systems and find a personally
more friendly ‘sun' home to recover
our composure's upon… Funny again
how it is with US. All the fuss, the ire
the separations the distances the run
to reclaiming what is now a more
potent and loving relationship… an
antipode, to the normal considered if
you will; two spheres spinning in opposite
directions, coming close, yet never touching
pulling off of each other all kinds of differing
emotions creating in the end; a stronger love?
Creating that newest light between to heavenly
bodies, between a larger sun and the largest moon
and with this in mind we call a further truce… for
in time we have reached a most true light
where each passing night faces every
rising sun; with its ‘new' moon…
and we embrace, having survived
this latest period of marital unrest.
