Perpetual Peak - Poem by Mellisa Salazar

always on the edge

always on the edge

and always one more day

until I can live

all of my systems are failing

my arms and legs are flailing

how will I ever jump and dive

before I die

the glory is for them

leave me in the dark

and please anyone take my heart

Topic(s) of this poem: dark, darkness, fear, heartbreak, pain
