David, so many (particularly young people) expect so much and become give up when they can't have it 'now'. I do believe that delaying gratification helps children (and grownups too) understand that the results of perseverance are well and truly worth the effort involved. The light shining in the eyes of the child who didn't give up is such a treat to behold. Great idea - well penned. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
