Persevere
You have to persevere
with everything you do in life.
If you don’t persevere,
you will never get what you want.
You try and try with no success
and feel like throwing the towel in.
If you do that with everything,
how can you ever succeed?
You have to persevere
in everything you do,
it may take a month
and maybe even a year,
but if you persevere with it,
you will succeed in the end.

David, so many (particularly young people) expect so much and become give up when they can't have it 'now'. I do believe that delaying gratification helps children (and grownups too) understand that the results of perseverance are well and truly worth the effort involved. The light shining in the eyes of the child who didn't give up is such a treat to behold. Great idea - well penned. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
