Persicope Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Persicope

Periscope

Susan's poem, "Periscope"
-became a ladder; soared
-climb on, disappear
-to cosmos…

There she talks of…
-the stars,
-planets, so somehow
-past revives,
-countless are old and young

Just look up; visible
-awareness limited
-in distance
-of the depths

Gods many
-among them is Inti

And Mother,
-is the Earth…

Plenty are the whales …
-and fishes are countless
-as are the sands and dunes of deserts
-and trees in jungles; and forests
-friendly, ferocious and endless
-glaziers, and currents, seas, oceans

-and…and…and…

Feelings want to get lost
-feel drunk…
-hallucinated…
-and dumb and unconscious in trance…

There, tall are glasses?
-champagne-filled
-with blinks…
-planets and stars …
-are bubbles…
