Perspective Poem by D.A. Woods

Perspective

It is not until you hit a brick wall with pace, and while removing the last of the rumble of you does a V2.0 emerge.
Like having a heart attack on a lonely island screaming for help where nobody knows where you are and your cries for help drowned out with the waves pounding you constantly.
Who shall help you in the hour of desperation?
- only a passing fishing boat if you are lucky enough to be seen by them.
I chose here after loves exile left me with a broken pocket watch which just ticks with the promises of a tock with all my tomorrows.
It keeps no time for me and it never has.

Awakening with confusion surround by people in white asking me about my tribe.
"I have no tribe, I live in that jungle alone and have done for many a years.
They all live on bigger islands somewhere for which I don't care for.
I am all alone with nothingness and nobody."
They think it's crazy living in my world alone, ludicrous that I've dreamt and wasted my life away.

The final piece of the rubble had been cleared away of me as long as I stop saying "I'm ok" to any passerby swimming in the sea of sharks who asks. I don't have to enter their world to be honest as long as they are swimming with empathy.
So now I can finally stand up and set myself free again with hindsight to stay away from collapsing walls.

That time piece?
- it won't allow the right person in with the correct tools to fix it.
The ignorance of its own arrogance makes sure if that.
I'm seeking a new one so we can both look back at each other to see exactly what day and time it is.
Tick..Tock..Tick..Tock..
- the rhythm of real time.

Now there's things I need I'm my life now, not tomorrow, but now.
There's visions I need to paint in real time, not just voiceless words describing it.
Version 2.0?
- my awakening after death, which brought me back and I can see clearer than before.
