Pesky Red Glasses Poem by Aileen Figueroa

Pesky Red Glasses

Rating: 5.0

My heart is broken for I have lost
my reading red glasses.
I have looked all over for it.
On the sofa under the sofa.
On the kitchen table.
On my bed under my bed.
In the bathroom just in case.
The dog's toy box,
He like to play.
But I have yet to find,
my reading red glasses.
My neighbor asked what's wrong.
I explain the sadness
of my broken heart.
To read the conclusion of my book was not to be.
Cheerfully my neighbor said,
"I will help find this pesky red glasses,
but you must do as I say"
Full of doubt and suspicion but I agreed.
"Close your eyes. Put your hands on your ears
and focus on your pesky red glasses" she said.
In astonishment with laughter I cried out.
Yup, Pesky Red Glasses were sitting on my crown.
I gave God thanks for mending my broken heart today
and for humorous good friends

I had bought some really nice reading glasses and was always afraid of losing them. I would go crazy looking for them many times and yes most of the time they where on top of my head; -)
