Peter Almost



The average length
of one of my feet
is nowhere near a foot
but is almost a quarter metre.

For purpose of rhyme
I call that foot a peter.
In 7.45 metres
are almost 30 peters.

A hundred metre race
is a 400 peter almost
and would be called the latter
were I the host.
