Petition Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Petition

Petition, humble plea, a voice of need,
A cry for change, a cause to heed,
A petition penned with heartfelt might,
In hopes of justice, shining bright.

With words that yearn, with passion's fire,
They seek to rouse, to inspire,
The hearts of those who hold the power,
To listen, heed, and change the hour.

They unfold,
Their tales of struggle, stories untold,
Of plight and pain, of hopes denied,
Of dreams deferred, of rights decried.

They paint a vivid tapestry,
Of lives unlived, of misery,
And beg for mercy, grace, and aid,
For hearts that ache, for souls dismayed.

Oh, let us hear their earnest plea,
And rise to meet their urgent plea,
For in their words, a truth resides,
A call to action, that abides.

So let us sign, let voices blend,
In unity, let change transcend,
And may this humble petition be,
A beacon of hope, for all to see.
