Ph: Love: Just Let Me Hold You Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Love: Just Let Me Hold You

' Just let me hold you, ' my dream, my request,
(Though no rainbow in transit can stay) ! I divest
My last pretense of permanence: I don't belong!
Mine's a promise not meant to be verse in a song.
But I'm fresh like a Tully fog driven through fast
No requirement or guarantee moment will last.

Promise leaves fragrance though promiser's gone
How can nature's heart rue the spots lost by a fawn?
Life and death no small matter, but love must be free,
And the greatest joy's finding just where you should be.
So, let love know you're present, stay fully engaged.
And your aspect to others will never be staged.
