(((Phoenix))) Poem by reinalie jorolan

(((Phoenix)))

Rating: 5.0

Forgiveness is
but a phoenix personified
-the kind which is quite rare
It perches on glass-like memory
as its wantonly jewelled chair
Then there's forgetfullness dear,
- forgiveness's most tormented bride.
She often protests with all her pride
For all the burdens she has to bear...

Forgiveness is indeed
a phoenix personified
While forgetfullness will forever remain
a stinging thorn on his side....
