Photographs Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Photographs

Rating: 5.0

I was always the one behind the lens
I used to glance at photos as if they were my friends
But now they only make me sad
Reminders of the past
Of precious moments I felt would somehow last
What they don't tell you is how life goes by so fast
With what I know now I'd see life differently
I'd more treasure those that hold me close
or feel close to me
Becasue one day soon, I know
Things will cease to be
And all I'll be is a memory
But keep the love and kindness we share
For eternity
And if you should pass before I do
Promise that you'll wait for me
