Pick Up Me Another Poem ~ Pokupi Mi Još Jednu Pjesmu Poem by Jankovic Zoran

Pick Up Me Another Poem ~ Pokupi Mi Još Jednu Pjesmu

You translated the verses of May Angelou.
I made that poem to be
in the spirit of our language.
We were writing letters
that knocked as one heart.
We were happy.
We had our poem.

I worked in the woods
You wanted to be a woodpecker.
I was gardener.
You wanted to be Lady Chatterley.
You could have been to me
everything you want.

When you first went and when I saw that
in translated poem is no place for my name
I was sad because I understood,
that true mistress would
never lie with a bit of a letter.
True Lady Chatterley had a passion
and you only have your little, poor Ego.

We had our poem and you turned
everything into dust.
Pick up me another poem,
I give it to you.

Pokupi mi još jednu pjesmu

Prevodila si stihove Maju Anđelu.
Ja slagao te pjesme
u duhu našeg jezika.
Redali smo slova koja su
kucala kao jedno srce.
Bili smo srećni.
Imali smo naše pjesme.

Ja sam radio u šumi
Ti si htjela da budeš šumarka.
Ja sam bio baštovan.
Ti si htjela da budeš Lejdi Četrli.
Mogla si da mi budeš
sve što poželiš.

Kad si otišla prvi put
i kad sam vidio da
u prevedenim pjesmama
nema moga imena bio sam tužan
jer sam tada shvatio,
da prava ljubavnica, nikad
ne bi lagala sa poneko slovo.
Prava Lejdi Četrli je imala strast
a ti imaš samo tvoj mali, jadni Ego.

Imali smo naše pjesme
a ti sve pretvorila u prah.
Uzmi još jednu pjesmu,
poklanjam ti je.
