Pie In The Sky *

Going through my daily chores
I thought of the things that happen in the background
And those that happen to me or by me

I surprise myself for things that I have done and those that happen
Because of my actions, positive and negative
Thus I detest surprises

I wish to see the gathering of storms
Hear the sound and know what it is
Having the ability to notice and decipher not just a wishful thought

All the sounds and signs happening oblivious
And even in my full view
I constantly fail to read the compass

Sometimes I’m even blind close to catastrophe
And only woke up by the bang of calamity
The magic of seeing before the bang hidden in excitement and melancholy

With a very big head, ears and eyes I will be able imagine, hear and see good things
About to happen and welcome them
In times of drop with warm hands and a smile
I will see bad things about to happen and avoid them
Or prevent them in times of smash with strong hands and a brave face

Unfortunately the smudge mark is meant to dampen the spirits
In the realm of life where there’s spontaneity and excitement
Perhaps that’s how life is meant to be
To have losses and gains, coming and disappearing
Smiting and smooching our egos to remain lukewarm

The marvels of life couldn’t be so high without the deliberate inabilities of mankind
No wonder, oblivious to the knocks, we fight, laugh and cry
What I wish for, the magic of seeing before the bang
Is nothing else but pie in the sky
