Pink On Pink: (Rothko,1953) Poem by DM W

Pink On Pink: (Rothko,1953)

Rating: 5.0

Textured, smeared pinks like
Lobster shells or human flesh
Or fragile blossoms
In springtime. Red represents
Passion. But pink is
More subtle and profound as
Its hues and shades point
Towards a poignant new dawn
Of becoming;of
Tenderness and agape.

Art and colour clash and behold the result. Like a meeting of minds. And pink Dominic as we know can be interpreted many different ways in poetry, leading down many welcome avenues. To inspire us and reveal its hidden strengths. Five stars and take care good sir.
