Pinus Sundial Poem by james watkin

Pinus Sundial

Time's evolving shadow;
Sun dial's green leaved!
Bar what compels us back in
For bird, quietening

This tree, alone, tells us.
Eves, out-stretched, adept
To the farthest grass blade of
Rock skink's last up-step.
