Piteous Disability Poem by umaprosad das

Piteous Disability

You are disabled completely, bed-ridden, and with oxygen support
Have held up your life lamp anyhow with agonies, painful effort
Fed through a feeding tube, not enough nutrition you get; you need
Moreover, a pathetic groaning sound comes out when you breathe

Though it's pleasant to see your brain work, on average, more or less
Bubbles of thoughts arise; analyzed in your mind, flash out on your face
But from this sentiment, it's clear that you have to suffer also mentally
How a piteous suffering an innocent soul is going through so ruthlessly

Oh, God! Do relieve her from piteous life struggles; Feel compassion
Be kind to release her from the earth to the ultimate emancipation
It's unjustified to let long a pious and innocent soul go on to suffer
Do we believe in Kali Yug, does Your kindness for creatures disappear
