You are the beat of my Heart, who has never been apart
From me in my grief and despair
Whenever I am sick, you are sympathetic
To sooth my pain with love and care

A peaceful residential area, calm and quiet
With narrow concrete lanes, neat and clean
Blessed with trees and plants in households
Making the scenic beauty in pleasant green

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a name of fame and progression
We bow down our heads with love and respects to this USA's great Institution
You generously share with love and care your experience, skills, and knowledge
To thousands and thousands of learners from all over the world corner and edge

Female power on this earth is the source of birth
Of lives; nurtures and strives with smile and mirth
Growth and sustenance through immense pains
Bearing difficulties, strains, anxieties, oppression

You have become extremely weak, very lean and thin
It seems your skeleton wrapped with only the skin
Your face vividly patched with more than the excessive old age
A few months earlier, which was of young glamour and glaze

Centuries after centuries, in the Epics, in the sacred Scriptures
In the holy books or historical events, many sorrowful pictures
Were depicted there in which we believe, in our heart and soul
That God himself, or His incarnations, had to play the pathetic roll

What is the purpose of education and progress, where morality degrades
Where virtue has no place, truth dies out, where corruption has easy access
What's the purpose of education and progress, where people struggle in each step
What's the value of life, where people pray for safety to God, ladies are unsafe

Today is the world laughter day,
Laugh and smile and be happy and gay.
Laugh, laugh and laugh and you do fight
Pressure, stress and strain and become light.

I get up early in the morning
Everyday, as usual, and run,
To reach on time by walking,
To my dear destination,

Learn and gain education,
Be free from confusion.
Drive out every doubt,
Be happy and be stout.

I was born, in the land of poetry and songs, memorable with precious births,
Jayadev, Chandidas, Noble Laureate Rabindranath, so many poets and authors.
Poet Chandidas, through his famous verse, taught about the humanity and love
Hit the social doctrine, by worth saying 'None else but the humanity is all above'.

We worship every year our Saviour, Goddess Durga, in the Autumn
She killed the devil, full of greed and guilt, Asura, the King of Demon
We make idols of Durga, Ashura, Laxmi, Saraswati, Ganesh and Kartik
So good with mud and sponge-wood framed by wood or bamboo stick

We have come to Indiana, the West Lafayette City
To visit the world famous Purdue University
It is memorial with the brave astronaut and his vision
Who became the first successful man in his great mission

How sweet were those past days left back
I feel when flashed over in my mind screen
I enjoy the happy moments of the lost track
That would never be back again to be seen

Cold touch in the atmosphere, mind is soft and tranquil
Dew drops deposit on the grass tips early in the morn
As if a green carpet with mini diamonds spread over, until
The bright sun removes the reddish glow after the dawn

On 18th October, ‘Happy Birthday to you, our dear son'
God gifted an incredible asset like you in our possession
We pray to God for your peace and prosperity and His favor
Be your career crowned with success in each of your endeavor

Two sparrows quarrel with each other very hot
Both claim to fly down the first on the spot'
They forget their sole purpose to search for food
In the quarrel, become very adamant and rude

A continuous, arduous endeavor for education
Can pull one out of the financial hardship, a curse
Helps him or her to push forward the next generation
To rush for knowledge power and poverty to crush

Loving Earth, Lively Earth,
Mother Earth gives us birth;
Nurtures all living beings,
Green trees, green plants,

When you find your body and mind are weary and not at ease
Come and share nature’s care, verdant shadow and cool breeze
Under a tree-shade on soft green bed lie down and you may feel
In closed eyes, the healing ties, of pleasant nature’s hug of thrill

You Are My Heartbeat

You are the beat of my Heart, who has never been apart
From me in my grief and despair
Whenever I am sick, you are sympathetic
To sooth my pain with love and care
Treat me with medicine, diet and nursing
Everything, I want and need
Make me feel good, all in smiling mood
Along with domestic chores and outhouse deed
After bath, early in the morning, you worship and sing a hymn
In front of your Idol Goddess Laxmi
Blow aloud conch thrice, Hindu rituals symbolize
Welfare for all, peace and harmony
Being a pious Hindu Lady, you are ever ready
To perform all rituals and meditation
To please your Deity and soften, you keep fasting often
In favour of your daughter-in-law and son
You are the worthy mother, made me a proud father
Of our only son, full of humanities
Being far away abroad, they never ignore to afford
Providing us love, support and amenities
You have respect and faith, over me in depth
Love me, encourage me in all my activities, I do or go
You never complain, nor ever give any blame
On anything taking as inferior or low
You share laughter and tear, with sympathy and care
Of our known unknown neighbours
You are generous to help, with your time and wealth
To the needy in their odd hours
You are my heartbeat, take part in every need
In all activities, thought and belief
I'm blessed and fortunate, God has made you my life-mate
In the harsh heat called ‘life', a cool mist of relief.
