Pitiful Rain Poem by Dennis Go

Pitiful Rain

Breezes of summer and pitiful rain -
Shadowy traces posthumously feigned -
All that it takes to bring a poor man down
Exclaims harshly and deliberately
To the soul accompanied by grievance
And the spirit altered by tragedy.

The soul again sings another refrain
Surmounting the toil of pitiful rain.
All that it is, was and will ever be
Defies the stronghold of human life
Lain forever in the palms of hatred
As it loses dusk within its hindsight.

can't believe everything you need or know won't come from a poet when pages burned by germs, turn the pillar into smoke
