Pitter Patter Poem by Marianne Scarfe

Pitter Patter

Pitter patter falls the rain
Splashing into gutters
Gurgling into drains
Washing dirty pavements
In the dusty street
Spreading into puddles
As you stamp them
With your feet.

Pitter patter
Falls the rain
Drenching field and tree
Swirling into bubbling streams
Then rushing out to sea.
