Fairy Poem by Marianne Scarfe

Fairy

Fairy dances on fairy feet
Fairy voices soft and sweet
Tiny as a lace-wing fly
From flower to flower
Flower to sky.

Fairy flutters on whisper wings
In a shaft of sunlight bright
Or a moonbeams silver flight
Through the darkness evening brings.

And in the midst of shaded dreams
When all is lost, or so it seems
Think about the fairy there,
Wings as soft as daisy petals
Tiny as a lace-wing fly
Flower to flower,
Flower to sky...
There's the fairy leading on
Leading on towards hope and light
Through the shadows of the night.

Through the shadows of the night.
