Plain Love Poem by Kwabena Eddie Mankata

Plain Love

His love so plain
Yet none can explain
His actions beat every brain
Him they did detain
Actually he did bargain
So life I could retain
He endured much pain
Tortured as he lain
They looked on with disdain
Looking at each blood stain
I just couldn’t contain
Yet never did he complain
Nor suffered in vain
Gave blood to maintain
The victory I will gain
And obtain
His power to sustain
From sins I should refrain
And all they pertain
I should forever abstain
For I have grace like rain
