Planting Seeds Poem by Randy McClave

Planting Seeds

Instead of planting seeds of hate
Away from that garden let's all navigate,
Seeds of hostility and pain let's not sow
Let's us not want revenge and hatred to grow.
Into the ground let's be wary of want we plant
Some seeds we can toss, and some we can't,
And the plant that always grows the best fruit
Are the ones, not planted by the boot.
Let's be careful of the seeds that we water and nourish
And let's be careful of the plants that we want to flourish,
We all indeed are the gardener
And we are also the forgiver and the pardoner.
So, let us all remember before the seeds we plant
Before their life we ultimately will grant,
Were they planted to nourish our soul and our body
Or will they instead make us ill and shoddy.
Instead of hate let's instead plant vegetable seeds
And together we can pull out the troublesome weeds,
We can harvest from the good plants and not destroy
Then that delicious fruit we can all share and enjoy.
