Please, Forgive Me Poem by Bryan Taplits

Please, Forgive Me

I cannot, for the life of me,
Fly above the clouds,
I cannot soar or wipe the floor
Of opponents, stout or lout.
No one, but you, sees in me
The hero I can be,
So I get no flack-
cause you always watch my back-and
You're always there for me.
If I were poet or could compose
I'd verse:
"I loved you from the start! "
So please remember this, my dear:
Though at times I'm indeed purblind-
In every zone, most times-
When you approach,
my vision always starts to stoke-because
I always see you with my heart.
